Spanish Word for Children
The Spanish word "Niņos" means children in English.
The Spanish language is made up of masculine and feminine words. For example niņo means boy and niņa means girl. The Spanish absolutely dote on children. I don't think there is another country that is quite as fond of children as Spain. The typical Spanish family is large, with many couples having as many as ten children. Spanish children are always encouraged to be family orientated, as they are such a close knit culture. Children will visit aunties and uncles, cousins, grandparents a few times per week.
Spanish children are also encouraged to do well at school, as a good education means everything to the Spanish. With the number of tourists rising in Spain, children are also encouraged to learn languages. English tends to be the most studied, followed by German and sometimes French.
It can be very exciting growing up in Spain as there are plenty of activities to keep children entertained, especially water sports with such glorious weather almost all year round.
